Training Future Champions
The UAX Rafa Nadal School of Sport, launched in 2022 through a strategic partnership between tennis icon Rafael Nadal and Universidad Alfonso X el Sabio (UAX), is Spain’s first purpose built sports university. With campuses in Villanueva de la Cañada (near Madrid) and Chamberí (Madrid city), the school spans over 1 million m² of state of the art facilities—including a 2,000 m² multisport hall inaugurated by legends like David Villa and José Manuel Calderón—and is designed to train future professionals across health, sport, and business disciplines, guided by Nadal’s core values of discipline, resilience, humility, and teamwork.
Real Learning
Students can pursue undergraduate and postgraduate degrees—such as the Bachelor’s and online Bachelor’s in Sports Management developed with LaLiga, along with MBAs and master’s programs in sports management, performance, and health sciences. The curriculum emphasizes experiential learning through real world internships (e.g., Rafa Nadal Academy in Mallorca, LaLiga clubs), international stays in Mallorca and Miami, industry led master classes, and participation in major sports events. High profile visits—like Nadal’s “Más allá del tenis” lecture reinforcing leadership and technological innovation—highlight the school’s mission to prepare graduates for making an impact in the evolving global sports industry.
